Grants |
Creative Project Grants are awarded on an ongoing basis to 8 artists/year doing creative, experimental, narrative, language-based, musical, visual or conceptual video, Super-8 film and/or Mac computer work.
Political, promotional, documentary and commercial projects are NOT within the framework of the grant, although low rates, discounts and budget packages for projects of all types are available. See Services Link, above.
Eight artists will be selected during the year to receive grants for 30 hours of subsidized use of eMediaLoft Video/Super-8/ Photo/Audio/PowerMac G-5 suite with editor, in blocks of at least 5hr segments over the course of the year. Self-use is limited to certain media w/out G5. See Services link.
Creative Project Grants Subsidize the Hourly Rates in Video/Computer Suite, with editor/instuctor. There is no self-use or rental.Final Cut Pro Digital Editing and all Computer Work in Any Program.............$45/hr w/editor (normally $65)
Creative Project Grants Subsidize Optional Lessons With Instructor in any medium, including Photography..........................................................................$45/hr (normally $65)
Suite includes for your additional use with technician at low or subsidized rates, all equipment and facilities of eMediaLoft.

Hi-8, VHS, mini-DV, DV Cam, Pal & NTSC Video, Super-8 Film.
CD & DVD Burning. Transfers and duplications to/from all standards.
Small Studio with mike and lights for in-house production. Canon GL1 3-chip
camera.
Power Mac G-4 with many design and editing capabilities in FC Pro and DVD Pro.
Audio decks, microphones, EQ, many sound effects, CD and MP3 Burning.
Graphics, Photography, Labels, Publicity. Flat art, Photographs or Transparencies

and statement of level of experience, if any, in the media you’ll be using.
(Optional Instruction in operating all or part of the total system can be part
of the grant. Any usage-fee includes editor/operator/instructor and there is
no self-use except where noted. Equipment itself is not for rent.) Please apply
